(Mechanicsburg, PA - Feb. 16, 2010) – Mission Central, the mission warehouse of the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church, was able to send over $250,000 worth of aid kits in the days and weeks following the tragic earthquake in Haiti last month. While most missions and support groups were scrambling to ramp up operations, Mission Central already had most of the aid kits ready to go at its 50,000 square foot warehouse in Camp Hill, PA. Using the social networking and new media marketing support services provided by Intelmarx, Mission Central receives supplies, volunteers and financial donations continually to restock inventory at its warehouse and its 13 satellite operations called “HUBs” throughout Central PA for humanitarian help in Haiti and in preparation for where and whenever the next disaster will strike. In fact, Mission Central efforts in disaster response and humanitarian aid have provided help for people affected by every major weather event on five continents since 2003.
